Kate Moss and some Tartan

Sweater: DIY / Skirt: Zara / Shoes: H&M / Jacket: Forever21

We still have school on Halloween (which should be changed immediately) but since only the seniors dress up, I decided to look my best! I teamed my Kate Moss sweater with my Zara tartan skirt and Forever21 leather look bomber jacket. I love the oversized fit with a tighter skirt and ankle booties (here I'm wearing my new H&M booties that are to die for!). Add some sheer tights and I was set :)

Outside your comfort zone...

Lately I've been trying to get outside of my comfort zone and wear things that I wouldn't normally be comfortable wearing to school. For example, the day I wore my long Topshop dungarees, I was terrified and contemplated changing every five minutes before I left for school. I was scared I would be harassed and called a farmer (though I came up with a sassy comeback: be glad I don't have my pitchfork right now) The day I wore my H&M booties, I was scared to be shamed for wearing such high heels. My leather dungarees, what if I was called a dominatrix? My pinafores, what if I was dubbed a little girl? My Kate Moss sweater, what if people laughed at the phrase and refused to understand? Sometimes all it takes is five seconds of embarrassing courage to step through those school doors, put on a smile, and realize that you love what you're wearing and feel amazing. It doesn't matter what other people think or do. They can wear their Uggs and sweatpants all day while you look super fabulous in heels and dungarees. Being young is all about experimenting with your style and having fun while your doing it. How can you have fun if you keep on worrying about what other people think? So chin up girl! Wear those heels! Wear those dungarees! If you love it, wear it. The best accessory with every outfit is a smile, as cheesy as it sounds (pardon that pun). You can make every outfit look amazing if your confident. And remember what Oscar de la Renta says, walk like you have three guys walking behind you :)

I've put together some sets on how I will continue to go out of my comfort zone and try new things.

H&M, H&M, H&M... and Zara

Blouse: H&M / Pants: Zara / Jacket: H&M / Shoes: H&M

My boots finally came in the post! I was so happy that they fit and that they are amazing quality. I teamed them with my leather pants from Zara as well as this amazing high low plum burgundy blouse from H&M as well. Decided to throw in some velvet with my H&M velvet biker jacket, and I was set! Look out for more posts featuring my new shoes :)

Raspberries & Cream

Jacket: H&M / Sweater: Zara / Jeans: Joe's Jeans / Shoes: Blonde + Blonde / Snood: Knit by my mother :)

I love the combination of cream and raspberry! It's very fall to me and can go with any other fall colors! Today I paired my Zara sweater (a new key piece in my wardrobe) with a snood that I had my mom knit up for me. It's so so so soft and I love the pattern. I took the fur collar off of my H&M jacket and I really love how it looks. Teamed with boyfriend jeans and my Bank Fashion booties, I was ready for the day!

Weekly favorites :)

  1. Music - Chocolate by The 1975, All I Want by Kodaline, Love Club by Lorde (These are my three favorite songs at the moment by far... I have them on repeat! Thank you to Devi from Posh&Prints for introducing me to The 1975 and Flo from Flo Loves Clothes to mentioning All I Want by Kodaline! And thank you Lorde for existing)
  2. Drink - Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (It's that time of year again... This is my Starbucks order every single time I go in the fall. It tastes like fall in the cup and makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside hehe)
  3. Clothes - The Row wool and cashmere cable knit blouson sweater, H&M ripped boyfriend jeans (You saw my post on this sweater... I need my mom to knit me a duplicate! I'm also loving ripped boyfriend jeans at the moment. I adore my pair from Joe's Jeans, they're soft as butter and look amazing with sweaters and ankle booties)
  4. Beauty - Essie nail polish (This is the best nail polish. Ever. I love "For the Twill of It" and am wearing a dark blue color right now! It hasn't chipped yet thank goodness!)
  5. Shoes - Acne Studios Marlie zip boot, Zara furry leather plimsoll with tassel, Aldo Oringoa ankle booties (These Acne boots are to die for and would go amazing with absolutely everything. The Zara plimsolls are perfection. I've been lusting over them ever since Danielle Bernstein posted a picture of them to instagram. Hopefully they will be my next shoes! These Aldo shoes are perfect as well, and their pointed to is the icing on the cake)
  6. Food - Luna Bars (I have a slight obsession with Luna Bars... I've been eating them a lot lately since I don't have time to pack lunches some days! I love Caramel Nut Brownie and their Chocolate Raspberry soft baked ones)
  7. Bags - Oversized Mulberry Alexa in black, Michael Michael Kors cross-body bag (I did have a whole post dedicated to the Alexa, but I've also been loving this cross-body bag from Michael Michael Kors! I love the color and it would go fab with a crop top, skater skirt, heels, and leather jacket)
  8. Accessories - Ray-Ban sunglasses, Elsa Peretti necklace (The clubmasters and these round ones are at the top of my wish list ever since I saw the aviators were way too large for my face. Plus this necklace I think I use in every single one of my Polyvore sets... Hopefully will get it as a Christmas giftie!)

Kate Bosworth for Topshop

First Isabel Marant for H&M, now Kate Bosworth for Topshop. What a month :) Above are some of my favorite pieces from the collection (loving all the leather!). Below is how I would style them!

The Mulberry Alexa

Recently, I've been obsessing over Mulberry's amazing satchel: The Alexa. Named after TV show host and model, the UK's Alexa Chung, this bag is the perfect combination between Mulberry's Bayswater bag and Elkington briefcase. It could easily transition from day to night, and if it weren't for the price tag, it would be mine in a heartbeat. Here is how I would style it!

The Oversized Coat

This season, we are seeing a lot of people embracing the oversized/boyfriend coat! I believe these are an essential wardrobe item for fall and winter, especially if you live in a freezing place like I do. Don't worry, you have a lot to choose from! My favorites this season are coming from Mango, Topshop, H&M, Zara, and Burberry! I will definitely start saving up for any one of these coats - 1, 2, 3, 4
Here is how I would style a boyfriend or oversized coat!

Some More of my Favorite Things

Sweater: DIY / Pants: Zara / Boots: Blonde + Blonde

Kate Moss, pizza, and leather... what a combination. I wore this a couple weeks ago and completely forgot to share it with you guys! I absolutely love my DIY sweater, and my Zara leather pants compliment it perfectly. This outfit is surprisingly comfortable, plus I love pairing an oversized sweater with skinny trousers. It's a simple and easy go to fall outfit! (And the fact that it's black and white is a bonus)

Dungaree Day

Dungarees: Topshop / Sweater: Zara / Shoes: Converse

Today I was feeling a little under the weather, so I dubbed it a dungaree day. I couldn't miss school, and my comfiest outfit got me through it. Managed to click some pics before I got into sweats and watched TV. Hope you enjoy! :)

The Row - Dream Sweater

If you remember my sweater weather post, then you know that everyone needs a go to cozy sweater. After reading through Lucky and Vogue, I saw in both this amazing sweater from The Row. It looks like the comfiest thing ever and would go amazing with a leather bottom and cute booties.
