Pink

Camisole: ASOS / Skirt: H&M / Shoes: Call it Spring

Guess what day it is? Guess what day it is. It's the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls AND it's a Wednesday! And if there's on lesson we all learned from that movie its:

Preach Karen.

To honor this very special day, I wore my very pink H&M pleated skirt, pairing it with my new ASOS sheer camisole and my very light pink Call it Spring studded gladiator heeled sandals. Since it was raining, I pulled out my floral pink umbrella!

Wearing pink on Wednesdays isn't the only lesson Mean Girls has taught us. As Vogue pointed out in a web article, we also know to do a few other things:
  1. You can't wear a tank top two days in a row.
  2. You can only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays.
  3. Only Regina is allowed to wear hoop earrings (and red lipstick).
  4. You can't buy a skirt without asking your friends first if it looks good on you.

NYC

On Monday and Tuesday I went to New York City for the first time in a long time, and needless to say, I was beyond excited. We arrived at 10 am and immediately went to Ladurée for macarons then later strolled down Madison and 5th to gawk at all the designer stores like Chanel, Céline, YSL, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Bergdorf's, Tiffany, and many others. After that was Central Park. The trees were beginning to bloom, and the weather was simply perfect.

I wore my Zara dress, denim jacket, Nordstrom sunnies, Converse, and Forever 21 bag!

The next day we took the subway downtown to Washington Square Park and SoHo, where I went shopping! I got a personal shopping appointment at Topshop (where I got a lovely dress for summer), then browsed through Madewell, Mango, Forever21, Zara, H&M (where I got several pieces), and a bunch of other cute shops. Then we got mini cupcakes at Baked by Melissa (I got red velvet, triple chocolate, and peanut butter) and coffee at Bleecker Kitchen & Co. (some of the best coffee I've ever had!).

New York City is definitely my favorite place to be, and I can't wait to go back!

$30 Outfit

Top: Urban Outfitters / Pinafore: Urban Outfitters / Shoes: TJMaxx

Yes... as you can tell by the title of this post, I paid a mere $30 for this whole outfit. I snagged these two amazing pieces for $10 each from an Urban Outfitters sale - the pinafore used to be $70!!! The shoes were on super discount from TJMaxx too and I've had them for almost a year now.

Two lessons:
1) Style doesn't have to be expensive.
2) Never pay full price for anything! It will just go on sale later.

Migisi

Top: Urban Outfitters / Skirt: H&M / Shoes: Call it Spring

New background today! I wore my new Call it Spring Migisi heels, continuing my spring wear with my H&M scuba skirt and new Urban Outfitters striped top, which I got for a steal.

At first I thought my scuba skirt would be strictly for winter, but I was wrong. I've discovered that it looks adorable with blouses, camisoles, and crop tops! Scuba skirts are definitely a new staple piece of mine for all seasons.

Call it Spring

Dress: TJMaxx / Jacket: ABS / Shoes: Call it Spring

Spring has arrived! It is now perfect weather - mid 50s to low 60s with a warm breeze. To celebrate I wore my new favorite shoes from an amazing brand called Call it Spring (quite a fitting name, right?). I paired it with my maxi dress and denim jacket, both from TJMaxx.

Keep a look out for my springy looks. My spring shopping is getting started!

March Favorites

It's that time again! Here are my March favorites :)

I've been loving a lot of shoes. My obsession over heeled sandals has definitely continued. From Zara to Topshop, stores everywhere are putting out new variations of the design. I grabbed my favorite pair from my February Favorites and still haven't had the chance to wear them. It's too cold, plus I sprained my ankle really badly and four inch heels are not in my near future.

I've also expanded my dream bag collection. It now includes Dolce & Gabbana and a bit more Alexander Wang. The Dolce & Gabbana tote is so classic and timeless. It goes with everything! Speaking of classic and timeless, aviators and wayfarers have made their way into my Polyvore sets a lot more than I expected.

I've been noticing some trends among certain pieces. As you well know from my last post, I'm obsessed with city tees. Madewell's Paris and New York styles are my favorites! I've also been loving denim skirts. Topshop has the best affordable ones, pictured above, but there is one from Balmain and one from Gorman that I would die to have!

My top pieces are definitely the most stand out ones. The first is the Topshop high waisted floral shorts. They are so adorable and springy, and so is the ASOS leather look playsuit. Hopefully they go on sale soon and I can splurge :)

I hope you've enjoyed my March favorites! Let me know what you've been loving this month.
